TRIP TO THE AMISH COUNTRY

The amish are a religious group born in the XVI century in central Europe. They separated from the "official" churchand therefore were prosecuted and killed. They migrated to the United States of America and established their communities in different states, where they still live today.
They have a different way of living, reflected also in their clothes and in the little use of technologies.
Their quilts are simple and with characteristic colors in solid fabric. The quilting is beautiful.
On the trips I organize we visit the amish comunity of Lancaster County in Pennsyvania. And live in an amish B+B.

Among other things we visit museums and farms ,quilt shops and fabric shops and take one-day quilting class with an american teacher.
